I love having depth of field in my pictures, especially when the midground is in focus and the foreground and background aren't, that's my favorite :)
This picture was achieved by setting my camera to macro, then sticking it pretty much in the grass, and angling it up just enough to be able to see some background. I love that the tallest blade of grass just touches the top of the frame--which was not something I was trying to do but realized after that it did--all I wanted was to get the street sign in the picture.
